There are two approaches to the summmit of Mount Fynlayson. The trail on the south side is shorter but much more challenging. The approach from the north is a relitively easy trail. There are some steep sections with loose rock and roots for tripping hazzards. There are no vistabules to view the area below either. Though there is plenty of fauna that very through out the year, making for some good photo and wildlife watching opportunities.
It is an excellent trail to use if you plan to reach the summit in the morning to catch the sunrise. With the help of a flashlight of course!
